Cobh Ramblers 0-0 Kilkenny City The First Division’s bottom side, Kilkenny City, got their first point under the leadership of manager Tommy Lynch with a hard-fought scoreless draw away to Cobh Ramblers at St Colman’s Park on Saturday night.
City had conceded eleven goals in their opening four games of the season, and this clean sheet will come as a welcome relief to their embattled fans, players and mentors alike.
But it was not without its share of scares.
Cobh enjoyed by far the majority of possession and chances in the first half, and went close through Declan McGregor, Steve Yelverton and assistant-player-manager Jason Kabia before the half-time break.
After the break, Cobh continued to press for the lead goal, but in the end they had to settle for their second scoreless draw in the space of seven days.
Cobh Ramblers: Harrington, Murphy, Brosnan, White, Kabia, Buckley, Tynan, Hill, Yelverton, Coker, McGregor (Bruton, 71).
Kilkenny City: Fitzpatrick, Maher, Rea, M. Andrews, Whelan, Watson (Murphy, 90), Dunphy, N. Andrews, Quilty, Wood (Tynan, 67), Barry.

| Cobh Ramblers 0 - 2 Limerick |
[22 Apr 2003|11:15pm] |
Two goals from Ciaran Foley earned new Limerick manager Mike Kerley his first victory since taking over from Noel O'Connor as they beat Cobh Ramblers 2-0 at St Colman's Park.
The visitors took full advantage of Cobh's hesitant start racing into a 2-0 lead in the opening 25 minutes and despite Cobh's improving performance for the remainder of the game, they were unable to breach the Limerick defence.
Foley's first goal came after 12 minutes when he hammered the ball past Derek Slattery after a set-piece landed nicely for the defender to finish.
It was a mistake by Slattery that allowed Foley grab his second when the goalkeeper failed to reach a long ball ahead of the Limerick man leaving Foley with the simple task of lobbing the stranded Slattery.
Teams: Cobh Ramblers: Slattery; Yelverton, White, Brosnan, O'Donovan, Buckley, Cummins, McGregor, Coker; Bruton, Tynan. Subs: Moore for Tynan (46 mins), Murphy for O'Donovan (55 mins), O'Reilly for Bruton (70 mins).
Limerick: Healy; Keating, Nolan, Finucane, Purcell; Heffernan, Sweeney, Cooney, Whyte; Foley, O'Flynn. Subs: Ryan for Foley (46 mins), O'donoghue for Cooney (74 mins), Browne for Heffernan (85 mins).
